EXTRA CREDIT is offered periodically throughout the school year. Extra credit is not intended to be a quick fix for an academic grade deficiency at the end of a grading period. Students can earn up to a maximum of 3% of their total grade with extra credit points. Announcements are made in class for extra credit events. The majority of extra credit events occur on weekends. Read below for more information! Extra Credit Events this year may include: Chemistry Expo San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering Earth Day Participant Famosa Slough Volunteer ...and more. To earn extra credit, fill out the form from class (also available for download at the bottom of this page) and have one of the work party leaders sign it to verify that you volunteered from 9am-12pm. (if you worked only part of the 3 hours, you will only earn part of the extra credit points). Be sure to wear work clothes and bring work gloves if you have them. Gloves and tools are provided and they usually have refreshments too. For more information about the Slough, visit http://www.FamosaSlough.org or call 619-224-4591. Extra Credit documents are located at the bottom of this page! |
